It has been a while since I put up a new ute but here is a cracker that is worth the wait! I saw this ute at the Nelson Bay Ute Muster in 2009 and it is one sweet as piece of gear.

A few people a while back got a bit upset that I put up some photos of their utes on this site. Most BNS uter’s are happy to show off their ute, especially if they take it to a ute show! I am simply sharing my pics to show the passion, creativity and skill of the people who own and love bns utes. There is nothing wrong with that is there?

Anyway, check this out!

Like big bars? The attention to detail on this one is real nice with custom metal work and LED lighting.

The attention to detail on the skirts is very, very tidy. Nice one!

Told you it was worth the wait! This is one fine machine and one talented owner. The custom metal work and bar set the standard high for other bns ute owners…

Want to get your ute featured? Put your email address in at the top of the right hand column and we will send you the instructions. It is simple to do, you tell us as little or as much as you want and you can upload pics all in the one spot.

Keep ‘em comin’

What the hell does that mean? It’s easy – we are putting the offer out there for BnS Ute owners of all shapes and sizes to send us some photos and details of their sweet as ute and we will feature it on this site.

Your photos or videos don’t even have to be of your own ute – if you’ve been to a ute muster or a sweet bns event, you can still send them in.

We want this to be a one stop shop for people to come and admire the mighty BnS Ute so they can stamp their place in history as a true blue Aussie icon. We also want to hear what you think of the site, so if there is an article or photos you like, click on the headline of the article and you will see a comments section where you can tell us what you think and get involved in the discussion with other ute owners.

It’s on in the outback and the country, it is the B&S ute scene and its going on mostly unknown to the city and coastal folk. It’s happening around the bush; it’s in every state all over the country; and it’s mainly on the bush roads and byways behind the great divide. Yes, the boys and gals of the bush have built themselves a lifestyle, an interest and a social scene; that the city slickers probably won’t know of. The B&S ute scene has been raging on for years and it appear to be getting even bigger and better all the time.

With their very own social scene, they celebrate with their own brew (Bundy Rum) and the much loved B&S ute musters. There are burnouts, utes doing circle work, pretty girls and mates for everyone. B&S Utes are usually judged at musters in many different categories; with some judged on all round character and other types may include paint work, circle work and chrome work. So in any case the most expensive ute won’t win all of the prizes.

With their mates they all have great times on the road; outback and country where the fun begins. Many Australians never go west of the mountains, but that’s where the fun is at. These blokes have the machines, the music, the freedom, the girls and the open road. What Aussie fella wouldn’t want this lifestyle?

The B&S utes are hooked up with the latest sound equipment and 2 way radios and with fun in mind. It is certainly the way to go for great times and some sweet cruizin on the highway. The rules that dog city people are all swept aside when these youngens are around. Man if I was 40 years younger this would be it for me. This is a celebration of the freedom of the road and the great Aussie ute.

You will notice them on the roads with their sweet looking utes, a dog on the back and possibly a case of beer or three. Hook this up with a swag to sleep in and the lucky ones with a pretty girl sitting there too and let the good times roll. Most of the B&S utes have names, some I have seen include Pringos Bundy 8, and VB Six and a few I probably shouldn’t mention! Now there is another angle on all this, there are many chick utes; some are really cool too as the ladies create a different slant on what they like to see. There are a lot of different methods of creating a B&S ute and they all result in a hell of a lot of fun.

I have traveled many parts of this incredible country through the mining and country regions as a long haul, wide load transport vehicle escort. We travel on renowned stretches of the roads – the New England Highway, the Golden Highway, the Northern Savannah Development Road and the fabulous Beef Road. Wherever we go, we pass bns utes of all descriptions and they all have their own unique flavour and character, as these people are living the dream. The formidable bull bars, spot lights, mudflaps and aerials and that thumping V8 sound pumping out of the exhaust pipes. They represent the personality and character of the owner and the roads are their playground. The character they display is rooted in their freedom of expression and the original Aussies all had a similar streak of live and let live.

Often we camp up for the night on the side of the road, light a fire and tell tales late into the night. The highways in the late night hours come alive with bns utes with their huge illuminating landing lights, they set the night alight and we can see and hear them coming from up to 20 miles away. The night is transformed into something different as these blokes ply their love of vehicular freedom all around our country.

Who can deny these Aussies this great tradition, that only ever grows in interest? With an infinite supply of invention the great bns ute gang is sure to be around forever and the scene is made even tighter with their very own bns balls and ute musters to come together and have fun. If you see one of these vehicles, spend a minute to have a look at the attention to detail these guys put in to their modifications and the sense of humour they portray. Don’t be put off by the mean looks of the bns ute, as you will always find a genuine, proud and friendly Aussie owner, who is sure to have some incredible tales to tell about their scene.

I have been living mostly around the east coast of Australia and have been so intrigued by a great Aussie phenomenon, the fantastic bns ute. They come in all colours, engine sizes and models but are usually General Motors Holden and Ford utilities. These utes have been modified, worked up, lit up and tailored to suit the owner’s personality. The ute is an Australian legend in its own right and the owners of the bns utes have taken that to a whole other level and they always cause some serious head turning as their machines drive by.

The bns utes share the roads with monster transport trucks and they almost always include some iconic features that the trucks wear proudly themselves. Massive bullbars out front to scare the wits out of any kangaroo, towering aerials to stay in touch with their mates, huge spotlights that can turn night in to day and running lights and mudflaps that would make any Kenworth or Mack proud. The rear tailgate or back window is often plastered with stickers that highlight the essence of the bns crowd and the good sense of humour and fun of the owner.

The people that drive the utes are Australian through and through and the bns ute really conveys the character of the bush. These are proud people; proud of their machines and proud of their country roots and the bns scene provides a link that connects even the most remote areas of our expansive country. The only other similar machines that I have seen in my travels are the good ol’ boy pickups that are found in the US but these pickups do not have the level of character that is seen on our home grown utes.

The bns scene is more than just these impressive vehicles, this scene is about mates getting together to share their passion for all things country. It could be out cruising the highways, meeting down the local watering hole or coming together for an event all of their own, the famed bns ball, as this scene is all about having fun. They also get together at the world famous ute muster, where utes and their owners of all kinds come together to admire their handywork and show off their driving skills in various navigation events. What better time is there to enjoy a few Bundies, listen to some great music, share a few stories and spend time with the beautiful ladies who also love the bns scene and are getting involved with a bns ute of their own.
